Rain, Hayls or shine, Hayley lives a thankful life and it shows in her training. It’s hard not to catch that “my body is my temple” glow when you’re being trained by someone who truly believes it.
On the flip side, this wee Scottish lass is a feisty little pocket rocket with a big mouth, and a big list of PB’s and qualifications to match.
What’s your training style?
A mix of strength & conditioning. I love to get a sweat on but also love hitting PRs on big lifts!
Name one piece of training equipment or exercise you could not live without.
The treadmills at Awakn or a barbell to hip thrust.
What was the hardest part of your fitness journey?
Realising years ago that fitness isn’t something to punish myself with or to take away feelings of guilt. I only have one body, it is my temple, treat it well and it will serve me wonders.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
My first degree was in acting & performance. Then I moved down to London to study Design for branded spaces at UAL whilst working on growing my personal training and fitness business. I love to travel, explore and experience new things (pre-covid) and I love finding spots to photograph – floral arched doors, cute lanes, sunsets etc.
What did you learn from your most valuable life lesson?
Things can change at the flick of a switch, completely out of your control. So don’t take anything for granted. Also, to always say what you mean and mean what you say.
